Advisory Group
The establishment of an Advisory Group is seen as an important link to the end users and beneficiaries of integrated scenario planning. The group is made up of organisations that could apply the information and tools (models, decision support systems) in their planning and decision-making.
The purposes of having an advisory group for the research project are seen as:
- Helping to ensure the context for the end-users is right and the right linkages with stakeholders are being made in the project.
- Providing feedback to researchers on tool development and applicability of methods during the project so that the outputs are understood and meet the needs of end users. Asking pertinent questions to challenge project activities and ensure their robustness.
- Building capacity in members of the advisory group, so they become advocates effective advocates for integrated planning and assist in the dissemination of the project outputs through their networks.
